makes 2 -3 dozen
⅓ cup butter
1 cup plus 4 teaspoons rolled oats
⅔ cup granulated sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
5-6 almonds, ground
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Preheat the oven to 425F.
Lightly grease cookie sheets
Melt the butter, and pour it over oats.
Add sugar, egg, and ground almonds.
Add the flour and the baking powder.
Drop by the teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
Drop by spoonfuls onto oiled cookie sheets. Since the cookies float out, just put 6 to 8 spoonfuls on each sheet. Bake the cookies in the middle of the oven for about 6 minutes.
Remove and cool.
