makes: 3-4 dozen
1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
1 tablespoon orange juice
2 teaspoons orange extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Cream butter and sugar.
Add orange peel, juice and extract.
Then add eggs, beating well.
Sift together flour and baking powder, add to creamed mixture.
Refrigerate dough until well chilled.
Separate dough into thirds.
Roll out ⅓ at a time on floured pastry cloth.
Roll thin, cut with cookie cutters and place on greased cookie sheets.
Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350F for about 8 minutes.
