makes 4 dozen
1 cup butter, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup chopped walnuts
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
⅓ cup powdered sugar for decoration
Preheat oven to 350F.
cream butter and ½ cup powdered sugar.
Stir in flours, walnuts, salt, and vanilla until well combined.
Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheet and cool slightly on a wire rack.
Roll in powered sugar, then place on wire rack to cool completely.
Once cool roll in powered sugar again.
