This site was developed after researching various international foods. My original goal was to create authentic cultural meals for my home. While researching I would come across a cookie recipe and just stash it in a box.

Well, to my surprise I ended up with over 150 recipes. I didn't want to keep this collection all to myself, so here it is. Every now and then I venture back to find another treasure. I have also received wonderful recipes from visitors and now there are well-over 200.

The Cookie Tin website started out on tripod (quite some time ago). In 1999 it got it's own domain. Though it has gone though a few changes over the years and has steadily grown in popularity, especially during the holidays.

I hope you enjoy this site and bake a few dozen cookies - the ultimate comfort food.
