Spritz

makes: 2 dozen
1 cup butter, room temperature
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 egg whites
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
pinch of salt
Preheat oven
to 375F.
Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add vanilla and egg whites, beat well.
Gently stir in flour and salt.
Transfer the batter to a large pastry bag (or cookie
press), fitted with a large star tip.
Pipe batter into rings or squiggles onto cookie sheets
about 2" apart..
Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Transfer to wire racks to cool.
