Hello Dolly Cookies
This southern charmer may be made with chocolate or vanilla wafers in place of graham crackers.

type: bars
makes: 1-2 dozen

1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup shredded coconut
14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350F.
Grease a 9" square baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except butter.
Stir in melted butter.
Press mixture evenly into prepare pan.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until lightly colored on top.
Cool in baking pan on a wire rack.
Cut in to small or large squares.

Even better, try with the mint and semi sweet, or milk chocolate and peanut butter, or semi sweet and milk chocolate. Really good and gooey when still just slightly warm. ADDICTIVE!

This was actually the first cookie I ever attempted on my own at about the age of 9. I always loved them and they are very versatile in that you can add a wide variety of different ingredients. Seeing the recipe here reminded me of how good they were and how easy and quick they are to make.
