Jell-O Cookies

makes: 5 dozen

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine
1, 4 serving size package Jell-O Brand Gelatin
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup milk

Preheat oven to 375F.
Combine flour, soda and salt and set aside.
Cream margarine.
Gradually add gelatin and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in vanilla and almond extract.
Add flour alternating with milk.
Beat after each addition until smooth.
Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Flatten slightly.
If desired, sprinkle with additional fruit flavored gelatin or sprinkle with sugar.
Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown around edges.
Store in loosely covered container.
