Cereal Christmas Wreath or Trees

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
24 large or 2 cups miniature marshmallow
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon green food coloring
3 cups cereal
red hot candies or M&Ms

In a large saucepan, heat butter and marshmallows over low heat, stirring until the marshmallows are melted.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and green food coloring.
Stir in the cereal until well-coated.
Rub margarine on your hands.
Using about 1/2 cup of mixture and working quickly shape warm mixture into trees or wreaths on wax paper.
For ornaments press candies onto trees and wreaths.
